@MadMax19752025, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
To access the advanced tab in the Computer Setup utility on a Compaq Presario CQ43 notebook, follow these steps:
Restart the Notebook: Turn on or restart your notebook.
Enter Computer Setup: While the screen displays the initial startup screen, press the F10 key. This should bring up the ROM based setup utility.
Navigate to Advanced Menu: Once you're in Computer Setup, use the arrow keys to navigate through the menu options. You should find menus labeled as File, Security, Tools, and Advanced.
Select Advanced Menu: Use the arrow keys to select the Advanced menu, which allows you to change various system settings, including SATA configurations.
Adjust SATA Settings: In the Advanced menu, find your SATA settings and make the needed changes.
Save and Exit: After making changes, use the arrow keys to select File > Save Changes and Exit, then follow the instructions on the screen to apply the changes.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.

Good evening my brother Thank you very much for answering me but the problem was not solved the big problem is that in the bios of this specific notebook the advanced menu is hidden it does not appear... It simply does not exist as in many BIOS there must be a secret code by pressing some specific keys so that the advanced menu where the sata control settings are located can be accessed..... This notebook is from 2012, meaning it is already quite old and HP no longer has this model on the support list. I can't even update the bios. I don't know where to download the F 34 bios update. But what I I urgently need to find the code for the advanced menu to become visible and accessible because there are the SATA control settings that I need because the HD disk is giving problems. .

@MadMax19752025, Thanks for reaching out!
The HP Advanced BIOS functions may not be available on all devices, as they are locked on most models and only accessible on select ones
