HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15-eb1043dx

After the pushed update the pc rebooted and hung at the HP logo screen I leftnit overnight not wanting to interrupt, but come morning it was still spinning.  I performed a hard reset and it rebooted to the HP logo and "preparing automatic repair". That stayed up for 5minutes followed by a blue screen indicating it ran into a problem with DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG and it rebooted only to hang at the HP logo screen again.  Attemping to rollback the change, I've made numerous attempts to get into the bios but restarts always bring me back to HP logo screen or HP logo screen with preparing auto repair alternately no matter what key (esc, delete, F8,10,2,..) I hold down on boot. I've unplugged the battery and held down the power button to discarge it. No change. What can I do?  I cannot even extract files from memory since this is an intel optane device (thanks Intel).

Hi @Staticidal_loop,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the PC is stuck on a loop where it goes to the HP logo and is not able to use it, To try and fix the issue please try the below steps in solving the issue.

Step 1: BIOS Restore
1) Shutdown the computer and keep the  charger plugged
2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B button until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow on-screen instructions and click on OK

Once you get the Pc or if you still face issues try the Extensive test:

Step 2: Extensive Test -
1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
4. Click Extensive Test.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
