@Devang1211, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing a black screen with a visible and movable cursor after a recent update on your HP laptop. This is a known issue that can occur due to display driver conflicts or system file corruption during updates. Let's walk through some steps to resolve this:

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Power off the laptop completely.
  2. Disconnect all external devices (USBs, printers, etc.).
  3. Unplug the power adapter.
  4. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power adapter and turn on the laptop.

Boot into Safe Mode

Since the screen is black but the cursor is visible, try booting into Safe Mode:

  1. Hold the Power button to force shutdown.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately press F11 repeatedly to enter Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
  3. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  4. After restart, press F4 to boot into Safe Mode.

Roll Back or Reinstall Display Drivers

Once in Safe Mode:

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Display adapters.
  3. Right-click your display driver (e.g., Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA) and choose Uninstall device.
  4. Check the box for Delete the driver software for this device, then click Uninstall.
  5. Restart your laptop normally.

Windows will reinstall the default driver automatically. If the issue is resolved, you can later update the driver from the HP website.Official HP® Support

Run System File Checker

If the issue persists:

  1. Boot into Safe Mode again.
  2. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  3. Type the following and press Enter:sfc /scannow
  4. Let the scan complete and follow any on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
