I want my laptop to auto boot when I open the lid from shutdown state. I cannot figure out any relevant toggle in either windows settings or in BIOS.

 

Please help.

 

My product is HP Laptop 14-gr0001TU (A47CWPA).

I understand you want to chnge the boot option, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

You may try these steps:

 

Check BIOS Settings

Enter BIOS:

  • Restart your laptop and immediately press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
  • Press F10 to enter the BIOS setup.
  • Navigate to System Configuration, then Boot Options, and select Power On When Lid Open.
  • After making any changes, make sure to save them (usually by pressing F10) and then exit the BIOS.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, there is no such option in BIOS settings. Please see the attached screenshot.

Thank you for the update, If yiu are not getting that optin ins winows settings or bios then your laptop doesn't support that.
