Hi, I bought an HP laptop a couple of weeks ago. For the last week it has been unusable, stuck in an Automatic Repair Loop. I have tried running many CMD lines, but keep getting told by the computer that 'this drive/partition is write protected by BitLocker and you need a key to unlock it'. I have tried unsuccessfully to find this key on my MS account. So I am left with a PC that doesn't work due to a lock placed on it that I had nothing to do with. Can anybody please help me? I have also tried to link this laptop to my HP account, but since there is no serial number where HP says it should be, I can't.
Must add that I am in the middle of Woop-Woop and don't have easy access to stores and services/
TIA
EDIT TO ADD: I managed to register this laptop with HP by entering the BIOS and finding the serial number. I'm not very computer savvy and just found out that you can do this.

Thanks for all of your help. I'm sorry that I didn't reply to you yesterday, but I'm sure that you'll understand why. I spent all of yesterday re-installing Windows 11 via a USB stick. Well, the OS installed pretty quickly, it was the setting up of all of my accounts et cetera, that took up all of the time. I am typing to you now on the laptop formerly known as the laptop that wouldn't boot up. Thanks again for offering help and advice to somebody that you don't know. Shine on Ub6424.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have already done all of the UEFI tests and the all of the tests were passed. I read on another forum someone in a similar predicament fixing the problem by deleting the partitions. I used a USB program to delete the partitions and now I am out of the Automatic Repair Loop, but I get the following message when I turn it on:
"Boot device not found.
Please install an operating system on your hard disk.
Hard Disk - (3FO)"
I'm going crazy.😎
