Hi,

Hard drive has failed.

You've to replace it with a new one of similar form factor.

2.5 inch SATA HDD/SSD

If you're within warranty, HP would replace it free of cost.

Contact HP :

Use the installation media to reinstall Windows after replacement of HDD.

Hi,

Tap away F2 key as you power on laptop, do extensive hard drive and memory tests. Let it finish.

How did you install Windows 8.1 in this notebook that came with no Windows OS from factory?

Have you backed up your data?

Please repair install Windows 8.1 using installation media: https://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/26095-repair-install-windows-8-a.html
