Some of the BIOS entries have been corrupted and I have tried to fix them using values from label on base of laptop but I get this (real new values ommitted for security):
<SETTING changeStatus="fail" name="SKU Number" reason="Access denied" returnCode="6">
<OLDVALUE><![CDATA[├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐]]></OLDVALUE>
<NEWVALUE><![CDATA[XXXXXXXXXXXXXX]></NEWVALUE>
</SETTING>
<SETTING changeStatus="fail" name="Serial Number" reason="Access denied" returnCode="6">
<OLDVALUE><![CDATA[├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐]]></OLDVALUE>
<NEWVALUE><![CDATA[XXXXXXXXX]></NEWVALUE>
</SETTING>
<SETTING changeStatus="fail" name="Notebook Model" reason="Access denied" returnCode="6">
<OLDVALUE><![CDATA[├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐├┐]]></OLDVALUE>
<NEWVALUE><![CDATA[xxxxxxxxxx]]></NEWVALUE>
</SETTING>
<ERROR msg="An operation failed" />
<ERROR msg="BCU return value" real="13" translated="13" />
This is run in an Admin CMD (also tried Powershell Admin window - same result).
How can I correct BIOS entries?
