HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC

Hey, so I recently got a hold of my uncle's HP Pavilion g6 laptop and wanted to give it as a gift for Christmas. My uncle was a pretty heavy smoker, so I decided to clean it as thoroughly inside and out as possible to get rid of any residue and the smell. I also wanted to replace the HDD with a SSD, as the person I am gifting this to is trying to get out of using their 10+ year old desktop, which as you can imagine is pretty slow. So I dissasembled it as much as possible, blew it out with compressed air and wiped the gunk out of it, reassembled it and put in the new SSD. Keep in mind that the SSD is a brand new drive, so it doesn't have a OS installed or anything yet. I did the same thing with my own HP laptop however and it installed Windows on its own, so I know it is possible for it to automatically install for me.

After finishing and trying to boot it however, it just gave beep code of 3 short beeps. After looking up the error codes here, I found that 3 short beeps means "Unable to start flashing (such as when missing a utility or BIOS image)". I am not sure what that means so if someone here could elaborate that and maybe help me get this working I would really appreciate it. Thanks! 😁

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is not booting to Windows and its beeping 3 times.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
