I'm trying to get into the BIOS on my ProBook 6550b. I can't reach support as the site doesn't recognise the laptop's serial number (which i think is to be expected from a 15 year ols device). My current plan was to get an SMC.bin file or find a tool that unlocks the BIOS.

 

I'm running Debian 13 so the HP BIOS config tool doesn't work natively.

HP Recommended

HP has stopped providing codes since last year. The law now makes BIOS manipulation illegal, and it is also against the rules of this forum.
