Hey!

So, the backstory is that I got a homework where I should download Oracle's VirutalBox and set up a Debian VM. The first error I found was when trying to set up the VM. I got the following error:

"Invalid settings detected: The hardware virtualization is enabled in the Acceleration section of the System page although it is not supported by the host system. It should be disabled in order to start the virtual system."

So after searching for solutions to the problem on google, I found that I had to enable 'Secure Virtual Machine' in my BIOS. Sounds easy right, so I restarted my laptop and tried to enter the BIOS but was inhibited by a section asking me to enter 'BIOS Administrator Password'.

I've searched the web for some sort of default password, but without success. So, to the question; Is there a Default Password or is it more likely that my school inhibits me from logging in?

I'm very thankful for answers,

Best regards

Your Swedish friend, Martin.

ps. I'm not sure which 'board' to post this on, so please forgive me if it doesn't belong.

@Skagenmaul

First off, BIOS password and Admin password are very different items.  Need to know specifically which one you are being prompted to enter.

Second, your thread says this is a School-laptop, so is that something loaned to you by a school?  Or is it a laptop you bought yourself and USE for school work?

We can proceed when you provide the information.
Thanks
