Hello Community,
I have a hp-14s-cf3074TU notebook whose BIOS is corrputed (corruption has been detected). I have tried to create a new BIOS on USB as mentioned by HP and tried to recover or repair it. The BIOS I have used is sp150767 , which is as per my model number. However when I insert the USB into the port, I am not able to do it as system flashes below two messages:-
"The system recovery bios failed "
"Unable to open bios image file "
Followed below links:-

The USB is formatted and has all the contents. Can someone advise here?
Also when the BIOS is successfully refreshed, how will the Windows key be deducted (License)?

Try an older bios. I looked here and am guessing the F.63 bios may be a fallback bios.
f.63: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp113001-113500/sp113375.exe
Select the second option that creates the boot USB.
After creating the USB, browse to it and go in the folder (if D is the usb)
D:\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current>
There should be 8 files as there are 4 different possible motherboard versions
Use the file manager to copy all the files and paste them into the root folder of the USB
For me it would be D:\
I think you will have to give permission to allow the files to be dropped into the USB drive
Possibly an older bios will work or possibly the update cannot find the files.
Lemme know what happens.

Hello,
Thanks for explaining and doing research , unfortunately its the same situation. with F.63.
Error Message:-
"The system recovery bios failed "
"Unable to open bios image file "
In my USB the folder structure looks like
Option 1:-
Option 2:-
What I don't understand is why its not able to read from USB, it had Windows so permission should not be an issue.
Cheers

Contact support and ask for help. You might mention if your HP support assistant program asked you to update the bios and you just followed instructions. Depending on how old your system is they may have you take it to an HP repair shop even if out of warranty.

BIios chips are avaialble from eBay but you would need to determine which of the 4 BIN images belong to your laptop. The bios chip seller will program the file you sent them and it needs to be the correct one. You mght ask HP which of the four is the correct bios for your system. You wil also need to find a shop that can replace the bios and charge less than a used motherboard replacement. It might even be cheaper to buy a used laptop, same model, rather than replace motherboard or BIOS chip. At least you spare display and other parts.
