Hi, I recently had a windows error where the bios failed to recognize the OS. While trying to correct the issue I decided to remove the BIOS password so I didn't have to keep logging back in. I removed it, saved it, now the laptop will not let me back in. It demands a password, but it should not be. There are no workarounds, jumpers, cmos battery etc. There are no read out codes you can use. Nothing, just authentication failure and restart. I'm at a total loss, this computer should not be locked.
Is this a corrupted bios? Is there a way to get a bios with no password in it to boot up? This shouldn't be happening. It's not a forgotten password, there shouldn't be one there at all.
