Hi all,
My laptop has been having BIOS issues since the beginning. Every few automatic BIOS updates the windows has been freezing. This first happened under warranty and the HP rep asked me to download and roll back the BIOS to the version before. In the years since, this has happened a few more times with different BIOS versions every time, at which point I rolled back the BIOS and restored the system.
However, yesterday the F.25 version gave me issues and when I tried to roll it back to the F.24, the screen remains black. It seems like the BIOS has been bricked. Things I have tried:
- Windows + B combo on restart utilizing a USB restore that was made a few months earlier: Black screen remains, BIOS do not boot.
- Windows + B combo without USB: Black screen remains, BIOS do not boot.
- Windows + V: The laptop does not start.
Any advice so I can recover this as fast as possible for school would be greatly appreciated.
