I encountered login issue, both login password and fingerprint not recognised by my laptop. Called HP support and after spending hours trying several methods, eventually they told me that I keyed in the wrong BIOS System Password / Power On Password. I don’t remember ever go in to change the password before. So to rectify the problem, I need to change the entire motherboard, and I have to bear the cost for the replacement, bought the laptop less than 3 months ago, it don’t make sense that I should bear the cost as it might not be my problem. Hope to look for solution on this BIOS System password
