Thanks for your answer, processor model Core i5 8265U. I followed all your advice, and how did I understand that it is possible that the processor itself automatically accelerates to turbo frequency under load? Because in the dispatcher it shows the initial frequency of 1.6 mhz

Hi @Blakke,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with enabling turbo boost on your Laptop.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.
Here’s what you can do even if the BIOS lacks a specific Turbo Boost tab:
Steps to Check/Enable Intel Turbo Boost:
Confirm that Turbo Boost is supported:
- The Intel Turbo Boost Technology depends on your CPU model. For the HP 17-by1039ur, check your processor model (e.g., Intel Core i5/i7) to confirm Turbo Boost compatibility.
- Look up the specs on the Intel Ark website to confirm if Turbo Boost is a feature of your CPU.
Check BIOS Settings for Overclocking or Power Management:
- Even if there is no "Turbo Boost" tab, related settings may exist under:
- Advanced > CPU Configuration
- Performance Options
- Power Management Settings
- Look for terms like "Intel SpeedStep," "Enhanced Intel SpeedStep," or "CPU Performance Boost" and make sure they are enabled.
Turbo Boost in Windows (No BIOS Settings): If Turbo Boost cannot be explicitly enabled in the BIOS, Windows settings can help:
- Set the power plan to "High Performance" or "Balanced":
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Choose or customize the "High Performance" or "Balanced" power plan.
- Ensure the Processor Performance minimum and maximum are set to 100% under advanced power settings.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!
