Hello,
When I activate the F9 key at the boot it displays 2 options: "Windows" or "USB disk". OK
When I select the "USB disk", it starts the system that is on the USB disk correctly, it's impeccable.
When I select "Windows" it starts my first boot option which is Ubuntu. It's okay, I just want to modify the text of this option in the Bios, change "Windows" into "Ubuntu".
I tried "BCDEDIT" under Windows and "Eboomgr" under Linux but it does not work, it displays "Ubuntu" and no "Windows" as a boot option.
How to change the wording of the BIOS option, there is no rename option
Thank you for yor solution

Hi @JJ31830,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To change the wording of the boot option in the BIOS menu on your HP Spectre X360 - 13 from "Windows" to "Ubuntu," you typically need to modify the boot entry directly within the UEFI firmware settings. However, not all BIOS interfaces allow for renaming boot options directly. Here's what you can try.
- Check BIOS/UEFI Documentation: Start by consulting the user manual or online documentation for your HP Spectre X360 - 13 to see if there's a specific method mentioned for renaming boot options in the BIOS/UEFI.
- UEFI Shell: Some UEFI firmware interfaces offer a built-in shell where you can manually manipulate boot entries. If your system supports this feature, you might be able to rename the boot entry from there. You'd typically use commands like bcfg or bootcfg within the UEFI shell.
- Vendor-Specific Tools: HP may offer specific tools or utilities for managing BIOS/UEFI settings. Check the HP support website for any available software that might provide additional functionality for modifying boot options.
Before attempting any changes to the BIOS/UEFI settings, make sure to back up any important data and proceed with caution, as modifying these settings incorrectly can potentially render your system unbootable.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
