HP ProBook 460 16 inch G11 Notebook PC (8Z677AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

After the BIOS update 01.08.01 Rev.A , I've been experiencing recurring startup problems, mostly after the computer hasn't been used for a day. Either the speakers buzz and the PC freezes at the Windows login screen, or it freezes completely without any buzzing. Furthermore, the freezing also occurs sporadically within Windows itself.

I've already reset the BIOS to factory settings. I've also reinstalled Windows 11 25H2, including the latest drivers. The problem still persists.

Are there any proposed solutions for this?

Update: With BIOS 01.09.01 Rev.A all freezes are fixed!

Unfortunately, I can only speculate, as I did not get to the real reason until the very end. My guess is that the problem was in the BIOS fan control. Whenever the device was cold and then came under load, the freeze occurred, because the fan did not start. The problem is now solved with the new BIOS 01.09.01 Rev.A!
