Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

Recently I installed HP Support Assistant app which provided me with a BIOS update bt am facing a problem in installing the updated version of 01.48.

The BIOS version which my pc runs at the moment is BIOS Version 01.47.

The user password which I did set in the BIOS and the admin's password both of which I don't remember.

While accessing the BIOS Dashboard the feedback response from my pc keeps telling me pree F7 Key to access the sparekey. When I press the F7 key am replied by a message saying "Sparekey is not set".

PC Product Name: - HP Probook 440 G1

PC Product No. - C7N87AV

Thanks in advance!

BIOS passwords are encoded into the firmware of the motherboard and we have no access of any kind to that. Changing such a password requires completely replacing the motherboard with a new one that does NOT have a password encoded into the firmware -- and that usually costs a LOT more than simply replacing the computer.

I wish we could help you -- but we can't, since we have no way from here to verify ownership of any computer.
