Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop will not boot, as it seems to be stuck on an update. I've been trying to get into safe mode, but, have had no luck.

So I downloaded Win 10 wrote it to a bootable USB and was planning to launch repair from it, but, it doesn't recognize the USB and proceeds to try to boot from the hdd. I need to change the boot order, but, when I select F10, the only thing that I get is a prompt 'F10 - BIOS Setup Options', but, the system doesn't respond when I select it.

Is there another way to access the BIOS to change the boot order?

Thanks

First off, you can't launch a Repair by booting from Win10 media. To do that, you have to launch the installer from INSIDE Windows.  If you BOOT from it, it will do a Clean Install -- which will erase everything you have in the process.

Second,  you probably can't boot from the USB stick because recent Windows PCs come with Secure Boot enabled.  You would have to go into the BIOS/UEFI settings and disable that.  You might also have a setting that disables booting from portable devices -- you would have to turn that off.

You may be able to access the Boot Devices menu by pressing F9 or F12 repeatedly when rebooting.
