ProBook 450 G3

Hi

I would just like to know if there is a way to reset my BIOS password?

I have been trying to get hold pf HP support but no luck there.

I have a ProBook 450 G3, formatted hard drive, so no windows, reason for format was because I thought my hard drive was the problem.

Trying to install windows but keep telling me about the boot image not authenticated.

Any help please

Hi:

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password.

That was the only way it could be done.

Most HP business notebooks including the one you have, do not generate system disabled codes.

Also, removing the CMOS battery will not clear the P/W.

HP issued this document recently...

The forum rules were amended last year, which no longer allow us to help with removing passwords.

Rule 4.d...

d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.
