Elitebook 840 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to update BIOS using HP bios update utility.  It gives me error saying password is already set and need password to proceed.  When I reboot and press ESC to get into BIOS, it prompts me for BIOS password.  I have tried blank, empty space, enter but no luck.

I also ran the BIOS configuration utility from command prompt

>biosconfigutility.exe /newsetuppasword:""

I got an error message saying "unable to process command.  Password is set, but no password file is provided"

and error message "BCU return value real="10" translated="10"

Product name: HP Elitebook 840 G1

Product number F1R88AW#ABA

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.
