what is it you are trying to do?

If your laptop came with Win10 preload, then it came with it installed in UEFI mode and forcing a change to Legacy mode will ensure that Win10 will no longer boot.

If you are doing this to install a Linux distro in Legacy mode, understand that after you do that, Win10 will no longer boot until you change it back to UEFI mode.  And after that, Linux will no longer boot.
