Hi,

I would suggest you to contact HP Tech support to get SMC Bin file,

please submit UUID and Serial Number for HP Tech support and they will be able to generate SMC Bin file.

Is there a way to have this file when we didn't have a bill for the laptop.

I'm from switzerland and a buy a second hand elitebook folio 9470m, the previous owner didn't have the bill anymore.

The phone support tell me that i have to write to HP so that they are authorized to generate the file for me, and when i wrote, they rispond back that the warranty expired.

I can understand that there is a security reason to asking for a bill, but i'm actually the ownwer, they have my name and my address, they have the serial number of the laptop, they know who i am and where to find me if there is problem with that device.

They said that they can help me because the warranty expire, the phone support say that they can help me if i have the bill!!!

what can i do to get the bios of my laptop resetted?
