Hello,
I was updating my firmware when I was asked to enter my BIOS password.
The only trouble is that I don't know the BIOS password. I purchased my laptop on eBay from a very reputable store. I contacted the seller and he said that the laptop is new.
Does anyone know if there's a way to bypass the BIOS password or if there's a way of resetting it? I read somewhere a while ago that the motherboard would have to replaced, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.
Update: I've actually been able to update the firmware, but I would still like to get to the bottom of the BIOS password situation.
