HP ENVY 16 inch Laptop PC 16-h0000 (67T91AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I am the new one here.

I am an owner of HP ENVY PC 16-h0000 laptop with Windows 11 for 1 month which is making automatically BIOS updates. Those updates were made in this month for 3 times. Every time there is an error, The System BIOS update failed;Unable to open BIOS Signature file. Last update is not made correctly, i.e. Windows device manager shows under Firmware an error with !,  with driver status "Device can not operate correctly, until you don't reboot the device (Code 14)". If I try to reboot PC I face the same error described above. So we are trapped in a loop. BTW under Windows update history I have an info  "HP Inc. - Firmware - 15.9.0.0" installation was successful on 25.01.2023.

I am doing long business trips when PC it is used 10+ hours/day. Such unpredictable behaviour is not normal and acceptable for me, as business trip and my work may cost 10x more than this PC worth is. I don't have time to resolve technical issues.

Is there any work around to fix the issue and disable auto BIOS updates? Or the only workaround is to switch the brand.

Regards,

Fredi

Just noted that my PC it is in this situation extremely dangerous. Closing the lid does not brig unit to sleep/hybernate mode, and when I took it out of bag, device was extreemely hot.

Far from safe taking it to the plane.

Due to total absence of any kind of support, I have decided for my workaround - I have returned the device to trader and make a + over HP.

God bless you all.
