HP Pavilion Plus 14 inch Laptop PC 14-eh1000 (77N96AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

in 2024 my BIOS update had failed so i tried to install the bios from the hp website but their is no bios listed for windows 11 24h2 version ( my version was 24h2). Then i contacted hp support team and they installed insyde f15 bios which was meant for 22h2 version. Now i am facing severe booting issues. my laptop model is eh1022tu and when my laptop was stable (when laptop is shipped) it had insyde f10 BIOS. so installing 22h2 with insyde f15 will work or should i go with 22h2 with insyde f10.

Hi @chandu786,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out and for providing such detailed context about your HP Laptop PC 14-eh1000 (77N96AV) system and the BIOS issue you're facing. I understand how critical system stability is, especially after a BIOS update, and I appreciate the care you’ve taken in troubleshooting so far.

Key Considerations

  1. BIOS and OS Compatibility:
    • BIOS updates are not strictly tied to Windows versions like 22H2 or 24H2.
    • However, BIOS versions are tightly tied to your specific hardware model.
    • Installing a BIOS meant for a different sub-model or hardware revision can cause instability.

The F-15 is the right version available. If you’re currently experiencing instability on F.15 Rev.A, and your model is 14-eh1022TU, we recommend one of the following actions:

How to Revert BIOS

  1. Create a BIOS Recovery USB:
  2. Perform BIOS Recovery:
    • Turn off the laptop.
    • Press and hold Windows + B, then press the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
    • Release the power button but keep holding Windows + B until the BIOS recovery screen appears.

  3. Follow the On-Screen Instructions to reinstall F.10.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
