Hello everyone can anyone help me my laptop suddenly turns off after 15 minutes of turning on the battery is still there after I bought a new battery my laptop can't charge I try updating the bios but it's only in the 'flashing bios' step and there are some texts the system will restart when complete dont remove power but the steps are just there after 5 hours I wait ..

Help me please

Not a personal criticism -- but I really wish folks would stop thinking of BIOS updates as Miracle Cures! I can think of no reason at all why a BIOS update would solve an issue of a battery not holding a charge -- as that is almost certainly a hardware problem with the battery itself.

 

You said you bought a new battery, but the last time I did that, the new battery was only 30% charged!  It took hours to charge it up to 100%  And, if I understand what you are saying, this new battery did not charge up.

 

IF you are still running the BIOS update after 5 hours, it is NOT going to complete -- and no matter what you do now, you have trashed the PC!  So, you have no choice other than to power it down -- and hope that it powers on again.

thank you for your knowledge so do you know why my laptop dies when the battery is still available and why when i buy a new battery the battery can't be charged?
