No lights or sounds Anywhere EXCEPT the little light beside the a.c. plug stays solid white at all times even when not plugged in.
A.C. adapter DEFINITELY has power and battery is only a month old.
I've tried holding down the power button & Beats button together for 16.seconds and power/more buttons for 15 seconds, both plugged in and unplugged.
All to no avail.
I have never seen this battery charge light show a constant white UNLESS plugged in AND full charge.
Now it just stays on, even with no plugged in.
I just paid HP $359 to install a new motherboards only last year (motherboard went out last year about 2 months after the 2 year extended warranty I bought had expired.
Now I am afraid that motherboard has fried too ALREADY 😞
Does anyone know what a steady white charging light means? Always, even when not plugged in.
The tiny light on the side where you insert the power cord

After trying to do a hard reset many times by holding down the power button and the Beats button for 15 seconds many times, I tried holding down the power and mute buttons for 15 seconds many times.
Neither worked or changed anything.
The laptop was COMPLETELY dead, no lights no boot no power no nothing; EXCEPT that solid white charging light beside the power plug hole.
So..
I bought a T-8 star screwdriver and removed the battery, FINALLY the solid white charging light went out.
I reinstalled the battery, then,
I performed the hard reset actions again; power button and Beats button, and power + mute button.
Then I reinstalled the battery,.
Everything has been working fine since.
I have run all the trouble shooting actions possible on the machine and every one comes back as fine. This is no surprise because it is working fine.
I'm just glad every thing is working again.

Thank you so much! We had the same problem and your fix (remove battery, hard restart, reinstall battery) worked. Tried lots of other suggested fixes before this, but none of them helped. We were thiiiiiis close to just buying a new machine. Happy to be able to avoid that for a while. Thanks again.
