Product: HP Probook 450 g6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, i work at a school and have to keep up all the laptops. and a few students thought it was funny to set a bios and POST password on a few laptops and i cant recover it. I called with hp support and they offered to do it for 150 euros per laptops. thats not worth it for older laptops. Is there anything i can do from this point?

In terms of help from HP, sorry --NO.

 

HP established a new policy this year requiring the replacement of motherboards when BIOS passwords need to be changed. 

 

There is no way around that from here.
