HP Probook 640 g1 password lock on bios. I did not enable this, is there a way to reset/remove the bios lock? I typically keep a log of passwords and none of the ones that I have will unlock the accounts that are listed. There are two users, not sure how the admin mode would have been turned on. Also contacted HP support with no luck.
I am able to log into the computer just fine, but not bios. Bios asking for admin password. Bios had not previously needed a password at all, but blank and other default passwords don't seem to work.
Very strange behavior.

The BIOS password and Admin passwords are very different situations.
To resolve a forgotten BIOS or power-on password issue, since that password is embedded into the firmware of the system board, to replace that, a system board replacement is required -- and additional customer costs apply, and while the costs vary by laptop model, they are generally around $200 USD. HP has issued this post about BIOS passwords: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824.

For assistance NOW, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly as they will confirm ownership of the PC before providing any assistance -- something we are not able to do from here.
