According to the LED error code (2,2), there's corrupt BIOS firmware on a computer that I'm attempting to repair. I understand how to recover it, that's not the issue. What I can't find is the BIOS "software" or "firmware" to do the recovery. It's not on the hard drive that's in there now since there's no recovery partition. I actually need the one that I can copy right onto a flash drive from one of the other working computers since I get a blank screen even after following all of the normal recovery procedures (remove battery, etc). So, this is my last option before it's parted out.
Thanks all!

Your Support page has BIOS files. Not sure if they will offer option to create the recovery drive. HP started offering that option but not sure it was during Windows 7 era models.

Thanks and you are absolutely correct. I likely entered the OS type (Windows 7, 64 bit) without doing the actual search. But it did come up with 2 bios update choices. That should hopefully get this thing running. Much appreciated!
