@S_Rahul, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP laptop's BIOS update may have failed, where the laptop powers on (fans and drives spin), but the screen remains black and the system doesn't boot.

Here are some steps you can try to recover:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try turning it on.

2. Try BIOS Recovery Using HP’s Built-in Feature

HP laptops often have a built-in BIOS recovery feature:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Hold down the Windows + B keys (or Windows + V on some models).
  3. While holding the keys, press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds, then release the power button but keep holding the keys.
  4. If successful, you might hear beeping sounds and see the BIOS recovery screen appear.

If this works, follow the on-screen instructions to restore the BIOS.

3. Use a USB BIOS Recovery Drive

If the above doesn’t work, you can try creating a BIOS recovery USB on another working computer:

  1. Go to the HP Support Website.
  2. Search for your laptop model and download the latest BIOS update.
  3. Use the HP BIOS Update utility to create a recovery USB drive.
  4. Insert the USB into the bricked laptop and repeat the Windows + B or Windows + V recovery steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
