I just set a bios password , verified it added it to a password bank and then when I went to log back into the bios it will not accept the password I just set. I'm not sure what could have happened, was trying to figure out if the password could have gotten set but not set to my specific password and instead defaulted to an HP password. Any input on removing the password and actually setting my own would be great.

Sorry, we are no longer able to provide any assistance with password reset or recovery issues.
Also please note that now, to resolve a forgotten BIOS password issue, a system board replacement is required -- and additional customer costs apply.

For assistance NOW, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly as they will confirm ownership of the PC before providing any assistance -- something we are not able to do from here.
