Hi,

 

At the password screen, hit enter 3 times. 

 

If you receive a 8 digit 'halt code', post back with this code.

 

If you don't receive a halt code, you will have to Contact HP Business support - they should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

I don't receive a halt code, he need to reboot.

The notebook is no longer on the warranty, and they can not give me any answer.

Hi,

 

Unfortunately, there are no 3rd party utilities available for your particular Model, the only method to remove a forgotten password is to use a smc file.  This can only be supplied by HP Business Support as it's customised for your individual machine ( serial no, uuid etc ) - it is also time dependent.

The only other option, would be to replace the bios chip - an example would be from the retailer on the link below.
