Bios password reset for Mini 1000

I need a way to reset the bios password so I could fix the error in the bios for my friend and get his computer or mini computer up and running.

To reset the BIOS password on an HP Mini 1000, try the following methods:

Using the HP Backdoor Password

• HP sometimes uses a backdoor password that works if a BIOS password is forgotten.
• Try entering:
  hpinvent or admin
• If these don’t work, proceed to the next steps.

Clearing BIOS Password via CMOS Battery

1. Turn off the Mini 1000 and remove the battery & power adapter.
2. Open the back panel and locate the CMOS battery (a small coin-cell battery).
3. Remove the CMOS battery and hold the power button for 30-60 seconds.
4. Reinsert the battery, close the panel, and power on the laptop.
5. This should reset the BIOS password.

Using BIOS Master Password Generator

1. When you enter the wrong BIOS password three times, the system should display a halt code or system disabled code.
2. Note down this code and use a BIOS master password generator to get the unlock code.
3. You can use online BIOS password generators like "BIOS-PW.org" or provide me with the halt code, and I can generate the password for you.
