Hi, has anyone got any idea how to unlock the bios on this thing? I dont remember ever putting one on it. Just Spoke to HP and they want me to buy a new motherboard for it which would probably cost more than what the laptop is worth now 😞 Tried the site that gives out generic passwords and that didnt work either.

Sorry, but by Community policy, we are no longer allowed to provide any assistance with password reset or recovery.

Here is the HP Policy: Participation:
4d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.

So basically, no one here is permitted to assist you in this.  You already heard from HP about it.
