Laptop name- Hp notebook 15-bs-146tu
Problem is that, after I updated the bios to latest version, screen went blac
The installation was fully completed,
Then when I pressed restart option after installation ,then the laptop screen went black. I thought it was updating ,so I left it on for more than 15 hours, but no change only black screen.
1.So I tried removing and cleaning ram.
2.removed battery and switched on.
3.disembled all parts and pressed power button for 30sec.
4.removed cmos battery & inserted back.
5.pressed windows button + B + power button .
Tried every thing,but nothing worked.
Please help me, if I missed anything or should I do anything more to bring my laptop to working condition.

I have same issue!! It will not let me post my own thread so will post here i guess, i have tried everything suggested and appears im not the only one they have ruined someone's computer and since its out of warranty they will not fix their error
HP assistant recommended some updates to me, one was a BIOS update, so i let it run. It was plugged into a AC adapter the entire time, after the install of the update was at about 47% i walked away from the laptop for about 10 minutes and came back to a black screen. Waited for awhile with no response what so ever, screen would not display anything. I have made a recovery flash USB, tried win key+B(or V) and power button (2-3seconds) it will not recover bios. The fan is running and can tell the backlight comes on display but nothing but a black screen. I have taken it to a local repair shop and they even tried pulling the battery off the MB and cant get it to post either. I have only had this laptop barely over a year and like a month out of warranty. Called HP support and they wanted to try remote access even tho it will not boot thru bios. Then i was told $59.00 to beable to send it to them plus $500 in repair costs. This is insane that it was a HP update recommended to be installed and it bricked my laptop!!!

Similar story for me, accepted a BIOS update from HP only to be left with a laptop with a black screen and whirring fans.
Recovery USB doesn't work, none of the win key +b/v and power combinations work. Just out of warranty being just over a year old. Annoyed is an understatement.

The only solution I found involved buying a new bios chip, unsoldering the old one from the mobo and replacing it with the new one. But not done it myself. Other than that or buying a replacement mobo, I can't think of how else to fix it. It doesn't post so you cant get to Bios and because it wont boot you cant use the USB bios recovery. Unless there's a way to wire up to the bios chip to flash it without removing it??
