BitLocker recovery

My laptop is unable to boot, after HP automatic update! It comes up with bitlocker recovery, recovery key required, I have checked my Microsoft account it’s not stored anywhere! I can’t remember setting bitlocker on, would this have been done by HP? Do I need to reinstall Windows again. I tried to bypass it, nothing works!

HP cannot control or make changes to any of the features on your computer.

Kindly refer to this document to know how to Find the Recovery Key for BitLocker (Windows 10).

This happened during an automatic  HP update.

I have taken my laptop back to PC World, they said BitLocker was pre-installed but they do not have the key! PC world will reinstall Windows, however my data will be lost.

I have exactly the same issue! I sis nothing but updated it, then the  BitLocker key needed, and I cannot find the key anywhere.

And I think we have the same question because the model of PC, I have an Exvy x360!!!

Could you tell me how do you fix it? reinstall win 10?

same here.  on hp x360 convertible.   

after bios update, bitlocker came up  (on windows 10 home, which does not include bitlocker...)

i have already 6 clients with this problem, all with the same x360 convertible..

I am having the exact same problem as well. HP ENVY convertible. Has anyone found a solution?
