HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg0000 (9WF73AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello all.

I have an HP Pavilion Laptop. I am the one and only owner, purchased brand new at the store by me.

Here's my issue, i accidentally did a power reset. Had no idea that could happen, was just trying to shut my laptop off. Now my computer has completely locked me out in every way possible it seems. A blue screen comes up when I start the computer asking for a bitlocker recovery key. I know for a fact I never had one. Had no idea that was a thing, nor that the computer could do this. Any suggestions on what I need to do to get back in?

I have tried a couple of different commands, as well as trying to completely reset the laptop by both deleting and keeping files,  nothing is working!. I keep getting a message saying something went wrong.

I'm really trying to get this fixed asap. Can anyone help with this, please?

Perhaps you should read what the person actually wrote before you reply.... this is a major issue.

I am having the same issue with my wife's computer.

She's NEVER set up a bitlocker pass key-  she just did an update that HP pushed out- and now it's asking her for her bitlocker pass key.

NOW all her files and data are locked and there's no key.  We've logged into her microsoft account and guess what- there's NO BITLOCKER PASS KEY ASSOCIATED WITH THAT ACCOUNT!!!!

We are BEYOND upset.
