Over 2 years ago my laptop stopped working, the screen would permanently stay black and the on button would flash regularly. This was most likely May-June 2022.

I have tried plugging it in and turning it back on recently and as soon as I plug it in the fan turns on and loud beeps get emitted and the NumLock and Caps lock keys flash with the beeps. The on button is always lit up. The screen doesn't turn on.

As soon as it is unplugged it 'turns off' and the fan stops.

I suspect the initial issue was because I use to turn my laptop off by holding down the on button until the laptop shutdown, and I think my computer tried to initiate an update when I did that, as it often automatically did this when I shutdown normally. 

How could I fix this?
