My laptop has been malfunctioning for two days. Initially, it displayed a blue screen (I've attached the file). This morning, it booted up to a black screen. After multiple restarts, it worked briefly but then blacked out again. Now, it's not responding and is excessively hot.

Please take note my complaint and try to solve it as soon as possible.

@BharatMarmat, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it must be to deal with a black screen and overheating issues. Let's try to narrow down the cause and get your laptop back up and running.

Based on your description:

  • Blue screen initially: This could indicate a system or driver failure.
  • Black screen on boot: Suggests a possible graphics or display issue.
  • Excessive heat: Points to a potential cooling system failure or hardware stress.

Recommended Steps:

Hard Reset:

  • Power off the laptop completely.
  • Disconnect all external devices and the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power and try turning it on.

Check for Fan Noise or LED Indicators:

  • Do you hear the fan spinning?
  • Are there any blinking LED lights (especially near the Caps Lock or Num Lock keys)? These can indicate hardware error codes.

Try External Display:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV via HDMI.
  • If the external display works, the issue may be with the laptop screen or GPU.

BIOS Recovery:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release the power button but keep holding Windows + B until you hear a beep or see the screen light up.

Overheating Concern:

  • If the laptop is still hot to the touch, avoid turning it on repeatedly.
  • Let it cool down completely before trying again.
  • Ensure the air vents are not blocked and clean of dust.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
