Black screen.

Example: Pavilion 17
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A few months ago my pc was afflicted with the "black screen of death", but it is not completely lost because after a few tries holding down and pressing the power button it boots up but this is after soo many exhaustive tries. I thought it was a software issue so I changed my hard drive but it didn't go away. I'm thinking it's a problem with my bios but it can't do the Windows Key+B combination because the black screen doesn't allow for this. Please help me, it's making life hard and processes that require a restart are always difficult because the pc screen goes black with a blinking caps lock.

@0ffCh1ld

I suggest you perform a Power Drain . Please refer to this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01684768

Next try getting to BIOS. Shut down the Notebook and upon restarting keep tapping on F10 till you see System Configuration Menu ( BIOS )

If you are unable to get to BIOS, please contact HP Support for Service Options
