Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My laptop started to give me various errors starting with abruptly shutting down due to memory. I did a bunch of work to cleanout the system, remove files, programs etc. That issue stopped until I went to boot and it claimed the device was not found. The memory test and hard disc test both turn up empty and ask me to contact support.

At this point I am guessing the USB 4 key diagnostic might help which I am downloading.

I have opened and checked internal components and everything is connected.

I have a USB with the full backup on it as well.

Any tips?

First off, you mention problems due to "memory" -- but your description more appropriately involves "disk space", not memory -- as cleaning out files from your drive would have no affect whatsoever on "memory".

Second, unless your disk was almost 100% full, lack of space would not cause it to shut down. So, there must be some other underlying hardware issue causing that problem.

Third, HOW did you create the "full backup" that is on the USB?
