Woke up to my computer rebooted and no on a black screen with "Boot Device Not Found - Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk (3F0)."

 

All System diagnostics pass in the F2 menu. However, under F10 -> BOIS Setup Utility -> Configuration -> UEFI HII Configuration -> Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology -> Optane Volume: Incomplete Optane Volume

 

I have tried many fixes and no help. I also tried using "HP Cloud Recovery Tool". Installed it on a USB, inserted in laptop with issue and it hung on the HP logo.

 

It is critical I recover my files from this laptop. Thank you in advance.

You have a custom laptop. Possibly the serial number can be used to determine what Optane device/combo you have

Go to the below site and enter your serial number

https://partsurfer.hp.com/

look for drive and Optane.

 

If you have L68111-001 for the Optane memory then your files reside on the defective stick in the 512gb part.

 

Optional builds, may have a  16gb Optane and a 1.0 tb hard drive..  If you have this system you can just replace the Optane stick as your files are on the HDD.

this model has HDD (maybe?) and also Optane.  HDD was not removed so cannot be sure.

The Optane needs to be replaced.

HP P/N: L48338-001

32GB Optane/512GB NAND

Intel Optane Memory H10 with Solid State Storage

Couldn't agree more onedat.... I am still looking for a resolution to this problem. Any additional insight would be greatly appreciated
