Hi @KKailash,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP laptop is showing the "Boot Device Not Found" error, it means the system cannot locate the drive where Windows is installed. This can be due to several issues, including a faulty hard drive/SSD, incorrect BIOS settings, or corrupted boot configuration. Here’s how to address the issue:
1. Check Hardware Connections
- Turn off your laptop and unplug it from any power source.
- If you’re comfortable opening the laptop, check if the hard drive or SSD is properly connected. Re-seat the drive to ensure it is connected securely.
2. Run Built-in Diagnostics
- Power on your laptop and immediately press the F2 key (or another key depending on your model, such as ESC, F10, or F12) to enter the diagnostics menu.
- Select the Hard Drive Test or System Test option to check if the drive is detected and if there are any issues with it.
3. Check BIOS/UEFI Settings
- Restart your laptop and press the appropriate key (usually F2, F10, ESC, or DEL) to enter BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Ensure that the boot order includes your hard drive or SSD. It should be listed as the primary boot devic
- Verify if the BIOS/UEFI recognizes your hard drive or SSD. If it’s not listed, there might be a hardware issue.
4. Repair Boot Configuration
- Use another computer to download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s website and create a bootable USB drive.
- Insert the bootable USB drive into your laptop and restart it. Enter the boot menu (usually F12, ESC, or F10) and select the USB drive to boot from.
- On the Windows Setup screen, select Repair your computer.
- Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
