HP 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Can someone please help me out.

I've tried changing the boot order, and I've talked to different Computer repair shops and they don't say much to help.

The first thing they say is it'll be $75.00 to look @ it and another $300 or more to fix.

Please can someone help a disabled lady out?

This Laptop is all I have to get online...

Thanks.

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

Post whatever you can please.

If you know the SKU: that may help.  OR the full model number.

Thank You very much for your time.

When I push F2 it takes me to diagnostics UEFI.

I did all the checks.

Memory Test- Passed

Hard Drive- passed on both

And I still get  boot drive not found.

I think this is the model # 15-1233?

What am I doing wrong?

Hi

Sometimes the Hard Disk is selected as a Secure Boot or Legacy Boot, and if this choice/option is changed then the Hard Disk becomes invisible.

So in the BIOS there may be a screen to check/change.

I do not know what/which it should be.

Also the Software part of the Hard Disk could be corrupted and/or missing.

As to the model......

If it is needing an Operating System then...

From 2016 on-wards there is a possible recovery option via the cloud...

Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second,
until the Choose an option screen is displayed, and then continue.

This may require another PC. Find and Download your .iso from…

If in doubt please ask.

Hi

Deep Six is certainly an option.

Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second,
until the Choose an option screen is displayed, and then continue.
On the Choose an Option screen, click Troubleshoot, and work your way through the screens.

If you do replace it, making a working boot USB would be a priority.

Little Boy Blue?

What am I doing wrong?

I did everything you suggested and still nothing.

I really do appreciate everything you have done.

What am I doing wrong????  🥺

Hi

Why would you be doing anything wrong.

If the HDD has failed or the Operating System corrupted or the CMOS/RTC battery gone flat, then until they are rectified it wont work.

Since you don't have any family or friends or local college or library then you are unable to make a repair disk.
