Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Out of nowhere, my laptop shut off in the middle of my work and after turning it back on, I got the “Boot Device Not Found” on a black screen. Ran the memory test (passed) and the hard drive check (failed, but no 24-digit code like I keep reading about). After the quick check, it reads, “No hard drive installed. Please check that the power and data cables are connected properly.” I’ve read suggestions, so I’ve both disabled and enabled the legacy support and neither option worked. What is going on?? My computer is only 3 years old and I’ve done nothing different for it to just stop reading the hard drive. Can anyone help me?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help since you got a failure ID it refers to hard drive failure. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
