HP 15-f2000 Laptop PC series (277G5AV)

Hello, my HP  laptop shows “Boot Device Not Found” on startup. The original SSD appears wiped, and I cannot install Windows because the BIOS does not detect the drive. The BIOS version is F.32. It seems the BIOS is locked to RAID mode, and I cannot enable AHCI to use a standard non-RAID drive. Additionally, the Intel RST drivers do not work when trying to install Windows from the Media Creation Tool. I need guidance on installing Windows on the wiped drive and making the SSD detectable.

Hi:

Run the storage drive diagnostics test (F2) and see what it reports.

The only other suggestion I can offer would be to try this:

Enter your notebook's serial number in the search window at the link below and it should provide the product number of your specific HP 15-f2000 notebook.

HP PartSurfer

Then enter the product number in the search window at the link below and see if your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

You have to enter the # and 3 characters that represent the country the notebook is sold for use in.

If the product number of the notebook is sold for use in the UK, you would need to enter the product number and #ABU, for example: 50V32EA#ABU

Cloud Recovery

If the notebook is supported, use the HP cloud recovery tool on another Windows PC to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will put the drive to the notebook's 'out of the box' condition.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

You can download the software from the Microsoft store:

HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

Since you have to use the utility on another PC, the tool can't detect your notebook's product number which is uses to select the correct factory image from the cloud recovery tool database, you have to manually enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.

If the recovery media doesn't work either, you will probably have to take your PC in to a local PC repair shop and see if the can install Windows on it.
