My laptop froze and crashed while playing a game, now when I tried to boot it back up it says Boot Device not found Please Install an operating system on your hard disk Hard disk (3F0). I've looked at the HP support articles and tried the solutions it gave but I still have this issue.

Hi,

This usually indicates that the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced.

You can try performing diagnostics at boot and see if it performs the hard drive test and if the test passes.

Turn off the PC by holding the power button until complete shutdown.

Turn on the PC and repeatedly press ESC until startup menu appears.

Press F2 to enter diagnostics.

Can you also provide the exact model or product number of the machine if you want further help. Here is how to find it

David
