Product: HP ENVY x360 - 15m-dr0012dx

My HP ENVY x360 laptop has an error "boot device not found" and followed some troubleshooting steps to find that my optane volume is incomplete. I was not sure if I should set the memory to non-optane as this would delete/reset to factory all of my files? I am not sure how to proceed to keep my files intact, I do have some on a flash drive but I would like to avoid losing the files on my laptop if I can help it. If someone can help me, please reach out. Thank you!
